Crêpe

Crêpe fabric has a twisted weave which creates a pebbly appearance. Silk crêpe fabric is often used for evening dresses, and is perfect for pieces with a bit of drape, and dresses cut on the bias. Silk crêpe de chine is an extremely versatile, lightweight silk crêpe, with a sheen and a beautiful drape. Silk drap (pronounced ‘draa’), and also known as marocain or moss crêpe is a heavy, 4 ply silk that provides heaviness whilst retaining its fluid, drapey quality.
